Self-portrait

Self-portrait is an atelier-performance which explores the concepts of interdisciplinarity, transversality, and collaboration between the arts in the context of education institutions. Through this decolonization of practices each participant creates their own self-portrait by combining dance and another element, another art: dance and technology, architecture and dance, dance and personal archives, fashion and dance, to name but a few…

From the beginning of the creative process, every step is shared by each individual with the group, paving the way to avid discussions regarding the conception of the project, its composition, making, and choices for spaces and devices. At the end of the workshop, each participant will have completed his own “solo portrait” to be presented to the public during an open studio session and which will be for them to keep.
