10000 Gestures

An explosion of movement

Boris Charmatz presents an ambitious work, rethinking and reinventing the language of dance. A 24-strong ensemble of dancers will perform, in succession, 10,000 Gestures – none repeated, every one unique. Boris Charmatz envisions a “choreographic forest” made from unique gestures. An antidote to the frantic profusion of movements, somewhat of a comment on the ephemeral nature of dance.
